The Albany Firefighter's Museum is currently selling 4 items as part of our initial fundraising efforts.

Fundraising, obviously, is the biggest piece to both securing suitable facilities to store and display firefighting artifacts and obtaining such items for preservation and presentation.

ITEM # 1:

2015 Reprint of

1924 AFD History Book

Our second fundraising item is a 2015 numbered holiday ornament, depicting Albany's second oldest continuously operating firehouse.  Midtown Firehouse was built in 1891 at 324 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY., and currently houses Engine 1 and Rescue 1. 

This is the first in an annual series of Albany's current and original firehouses.

1911 Photo Reprint / Enlargement

Our third fundraising item is an unframed reprint of the panoramic 1911 photograph of the entire Albany Fire Department in Market Square / N. Pearl St. Visible are all AFD officers, firefighters and support staff, along with all of their horse-drawn apparatus: steam engines, hook/ladder trucks, supply wagons and carriages.  The damaged original photograph taken by W.W. Thomson has been restored and enlarged.

Our fourth fundraising item is a 2016 numbered ornament, depicting Albany's largest currently operating firehouse.  Arbor Hill Firehouse is the second newest fire station in the city, built in 1990 at 700 Manning Blvd, Albany, NY., and currently houses Engine 2, Truck 2, Rescue 2, Rescue Squad, and support units: Technical Rescue Unit, Hazmat and Air Supply Trailers. 

This is the second ornament in an annual series of Albany's current and original firehouses.

If you wish to purchase an item, they are available for sale at the Albany Firemen's Federal Credit Union ( 532 Central Ave, Albany, NY), on business days, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.  All profits go directly to fund the museum only. 

We are in the process of adding on-line purchasing and shipping.  Shipping rates are currently set up to ship single items only through USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate, modifications are underway.
